About The Practitioner

Mariah Klaassen, LMT, has always enjoyed using her hands to create, build, and solve problems. As a kid she loved doing art and craft projects, assisting dad with house updates, helping mom in the garden, and more. After high school Mariah attended Gallatin Community College in Bozeman, MT. This was where she attempted one part time semester of Interior Design that was less than enjoyable to say the least. However, through school she was exposed to some potential job opportunities in the Bozeman community. A summer in lawn care ignited her love for hands-on work. When the season came to an end Mariah remembered a job that caught her eye while in community college- plastering. She tracked down a local company and spent three years of her early 20s as an interior limestone plaster artisan.

Woven through her young adult years was an interest in massage therapy. After wrapping up her time as an artisan, Mariah began on her path to becoming a Licensed Massage Therapist. Two weeks after moving to Idaho Falls, ID, she began her 1000 hours of education at The International Institute of Massage Therapy. While in school she traveled to Thailand and became Wat Po trained in Thai Bodywork. She was able to pass her licensing board exam before graduating. Since then has been set on serving her community through the therapeutic power of massage.

Since her teen years, Mariah has believed in a divinely created body and has valued integrative health care as a means to nurture it. Doctors who wanted to help her find the root cause of health concerns in a natural and system supporting way helped Mariah to honor mind, body and spirit. Through spirituality, diet, exercise, herbs and supplements Mariah has experienced the power of holistic health.

Nowadays Mariah’s life is filled with water color painting, reading, hiking, rock climbing and mountain biking. If she’s not pursuing one of her hobbies, you’ll find her sipping on tea, inventing a new recipe or spending time with loved ones.
